The Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities administers provincial laws relating to education and skills training. Under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005, private career colleges in Ontario are required to store student transcripts off-site for 25 years. Datawitness was granted Approved Vendor status prior to the official launch of the transcript storage requirement in July 2007 and re-qualified in July 2008 as an Approved Vendor until July 2011.

The Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA) is the regulatory agency for private training institutions in the province of British Columbia. Under the PCTIA Bylaws revised January 2008, private career training institutions are required to store student records off-site for 55 years. Datawitness has been an Approved Vendor since the new regulations took effect on April 1, 2008. PCTIA is given its authority by the Province of British Columbia, Canada, Ministry of Advanced Education, under the Private Career Training Institutions Act, Regulations, and Bylaws.
